The Current State of Affairs

Spring is here, although winter is still occasionally poking its chilly fingers into everyone’s business. I haven’t put away my winter coat yet because I fear the worst – the springtime snow/hail storm.

I am totally, utterly, broke. These bank account statements feel somewhat reminiscent of a more despondent age of alcohol-induced spending and too many late night zataars. But not to fear! I do have a job, which I love, although I worry that I am currently working (un)voluntarily. I am considering collection agency interference if the balance in my bank account does not change on Thursday.

But on to the most important part: Burro and I went CLIMBING! Oh, what a wonderful feeling. And the sounds: the clink of gear against your legs, the ragged hiss of the rope chafing against a poorly threaded bolt (sorry, sorry), the tinkling of a little spring stream merrily finding its way down to flatter ground. I am certainly no audio connoisseur, but the acoustics in that canyon were stellar.

Plus, there were no bugs. Have I told you, Burro, that I am a bug magnet? Likely due to my sweet-flavored temperament in the mornings.

So, all-in-all, I am perfectly and contentedly happy with the current state of affairs.

  1. I re-read that post several times and I am sceptical about yopur positive conclusion? Your bank account "situation" seems much worse than your "bugless chilly climbing" stuff.

I wish I had your happy temperment Burra.

More dire, however, is your bug attractiveness. Why have you failed to mention this prior?

Come to think of it I am a bug repellent so in theory we are once again the perfect compliments. As always we are those two lines in economic graphs that meet at a perfect equillibrium.
